Providing for your Children.
Your loved ones need your support to provide for themselves today and help prepare for their future. You have saved for their education and worked hard to ensure that they have the love and guidance they need for a bright future.

One of the most important ways to protect your children can be the creation of an estate plan or modifying the plan you may already have. Careful planning today can be one of the most important ways to protect the future of your children no matter what tomorrow brings.
Beth Chagonjian Bohannan and her team has provided a variety of clients in Redwood City and San Mateo County and the surrounding area with first-class legal guidance with respect to protecting their children and providing for their current and future needs. Even if you cannot be there for your children, you can ensure that they have the loving care and financial support they need to continue living their lives and growing up the way you envisioned their future.
Can an Estate Plan Provide and Protect my Children?
Your estate plan addresses issues regarding the upbringing of your children. Although not an easy subject to discuss, you should discuss with your Beth Chagonjian Bohannan the possibility of both you and your spouse dying simultaneously or within a short duration of time. You should develop a plan just for that contingency. That contingency plan should include a list of people you’d like and you believe are qualified to manage your assets and name a qualified guardian you’d like to nominate to raise your children in your absence.
The person, or trustee, in charge of the finances, does not have to be the same person as the guardian. In fact, in many situations, you may want to intentionally assign different people to maintain a system of checks and balances.
